Window Excitement
We had the good fortune of having a VCU Art Foundation class come and decorate our window this holiday season. The design and execution of our window was their class project--which they thought about on so many levels, down to the free pattern we have to give out for the little crochet snowflakes hanging about the store. In case you haven't seen it yet, here's a little shot. But, it's definitely worth a look in person. They did a marvelous job!

Cate had a few finished objects to show off recently. The Koolhaas hat, of Brooklyn Tweed fame, appeared in the holiday issue of Interweave Knits. She knit it out of Malabrigo, of course. Apparently, so many folks have knit this hat out of Malabrigo that Brooklyn Tweed decided to do it, too!

And here is her Nomad Hat and Scarf (a connected combo!) from the fall issue of Interweave Knits. She knit this combo out of the Pear Tree merino from Australia in the Sky shade. Though, it probably could be done out of Malabrigo...

Faith and Molly show off their knits! Molly knit her scarf in a reversible seed stitch rib using Vermont Organic Fiber Company's O-Wool Balance, color Amethyst. Faith knit her Cider Moon Santa Ho-Ho-Hat out of Vermont Organic Fiber Company's O-Wool Classic, Sumac, and Rowan Cocoon, Polar.

The day before yesterday we received a Blue Sky Alpacas shipment with some reinforcements on the Dyed Cotton, Organic Cotton, Bulky Naturals, Bulky Hand Dyes and Alpaca and Silk. We got some refills of colors that we haven't had in a while in the cotton and a few new ones in the bulky.
